Cross streets: Eighth Avenue and Hudson Street
This is a former printing press building, constructed in 1890 by John Jacob Astor - an American millionaire businessman, who died in the Titanic disaster.
The 6-story commercial building was converted to a residential loft building by Hudson Lofts Associates in 1999, offering concierge service and a central outdoor garden. At present, the building consists of 47 apartments.
345 West 13 Street is close to Charles Nolan, Rebecca Taylor, and Catherine Malandrino boutiques.
